The thread circle Sandry created?

I am re-reading The Circle of Magic series. It’s been years since my last reading and I love it just as much as I ever have. However, I am feeling like I’m losing my mind.

I have a very prominent memory of a chapter or part of a chapter where the teachers (Niko, Lark, Rosethorn) find out about the thread circle that has part of their magic in it.

The scene I remember, I believe, is after the earthquake. Niko and everyone are grilling the kids on how they lived and all that and sandry shows them the circle and Niko touches it and drops it or is blinded by it or something and all the other teachers gasp that “it cannot be” “they are only children” and all the normal stuff that gets said about them. Niko calls the circle something very specific and says it is very dangerous and takes it from them.

I assumed it was in the first quartet, but I read them and never got to it. Then I hoped it was in the second and I knew that wasn’t right because they weren’t together. I am almost finished with The Will of the Empress and I know that they are going to absorb the circle into their palms by the end of it. So I don’t think it’s in this book.

If anyone knows what I’m talking about I’d be forever grateful for the knowledge. I feel like I slipped into an alternate dimension or something...

Can we just talk about Lady Sabine... Please?

Okay. So my favorite characters are always the secondary characters, and Lady Sabine of Macayhill is one of my favorites, so this is a thread just to talk about her because she's such a badass person

A Note About Discussion Post Moderation

Welcome to Discussions, fans of Tamora Pierce! There are currently two Moderators for this part of our wiki, myself and Mk101, the other TPW Administrator. We check this part of our site infrequently, but do try to answer any and all questions that are posted here.

If you find that a direct question or concern has not be answered by one of us after a period of 2 weeks, you may contact me on the main site and leave a message on my Wall to drop in on the Discussions Forum.

We don't currently have enough traffic on this part of the site to designate another Discussions Moderator, but should that change in the future, we will look to see who is participating and how they interact with others when making a decision to promote.

That's My Name?In a Book!

So I was searching my name online, just because, and came upon this......My name in a book........Who would have thought right???? However it could be anyone right? I do however assure you I did not commit treason anywhere, at any time, although it was good to see the high born title, at the very least. 420HE is a long time ago I believe...Then again, who really knows?

Tortallan Universe - Other countries knights

How do other countries test their squires? Do Tusain, Galla, Maren and Tyra have their own chambers of ordeals?

What do 'lurah' mean?

I have a question to the short story 'Nawat', from the book 'Tortall and other lands'. On page 108 Nawat is called lurah in crow language. Or I asume it is crow language.
Can anyone help me translate it into something in english, so that I can help a nine year old what it means?

Thank you in advance :-)

Events in the Circle Opens wording

Just realized that three of the books have "serial murders of 1039". Do I do "Serial murders in Chammur of 1039" and so on and so forth for each of the cities, or "Serial murders in Chammur" and then just add 1039 KF in the description?
