Alan Cooper of Pirate's Swoop is bon in 445 HE as the younger son of Alanna the Lioness and George of Pirate's Swoop. He is the twin brother of Alianne of Pirate's Swoop, and younger brother of Thom of Pirate's Swoop. Alan always knows when his sister is frightened or in danger.
He begins his training for knighthood late. Thus he is already thirteen when he is made a page in 458 HE. After he passes his big examinations at the end of his four-year page term, he becomes the new squire of Raoul of Goldenlake and Malorie's Peak, one of his mother's old close friends and previously Keladry of Mindelan's knightmaster, in 462 HE. He pressumably takes his Ordeal of Knighthood in 466 HE.
Alan's hair is the same colour as his twin sister's, blond with a touch of red[1].
