Daran of Trebond was fifth child of Coram Smythesson and Rispah Cooper, the baron and baroness of Trebond. Daran had nine siblings: Jonthair, Alinna, Thomsen, Mylec, Liam, Thayine, Rose, Elenna, and Buran. It's not much known about him but at some point he joined the King's Own. Unlike his older brothers he didn't undergo training for knighthood.^[1] During the Scanran War he helped by scouting.^[2]

He didn't appear in any of the novels so far, but has only been mentioned by Tamora Pierce on the internet.
