The Divine Realms are the home of the gods and many of the immortals. They exist on a different plane or dimension from the Mortal Realms and can only be reached by mortals with the help of gods or immortals.  Daine's parents pulled her and Numair Salmalín into the Divine Realms to stop the two from being killed by Skinners. To return to the Mortal Realms, they had to ask the dragons for their help, as Weiryn and Sarra Beneksri were not able to send them back if it was not the day of a major festival.
