Duke's Citadel is Duke Vedris' permanent residence. It is situated on the western corner of Summersea, just outside the city and enclosed by a wall. To the east and south the citadel borders the Pebbled Sea. The arsenal is just east of Duke's Citadel, the city to the north-east.

It is one of the oldest places in Summersea. As a result the layers of spells on the most ancient parts of the citadel are very powerful, making it nearly impossible to penetrate them. Even with unmagic the Dihanur murderers didn't have it easy to get into the citadel.

Since Duke Vedris' heart attack in spring of 1039 KF Sandrilene fa Toren also lived at the citadel, as did Baron Erdogun fer Baigh, Duke Vedris' seneschal.
