Esmelle ei Pragin (pronounced ehz-MEHLL ay PRAHG-inn) was a young, most probably Emelanese, noblewoman who lived at the Pearl Cup dormitories in Winding Circle Temple, when Sandry stayed there. Her parents were Baron Witten en Pragin and Colledia of House Wheelwright (a merchant House). Esmelle was one of the girls who didn't want Daja Kisubo, a Trader, at their table and was reprimanded by Sandry for it.

She only appeared as a minor character once in Sandry's Book.
