Hasui (pronounced hah-SOO-ee) was a part-raka kitchen slave in the Balitang household. She was a royal spy but was under Chenaol's close watch so she couldn't do any harm to the family. During Bronau Jimajen's stay at Tanair she regularly shared his bed and when he eventually attacked the castle in an attempt to force Saraiyu Balitang into a marriage with him, it was Hasui who opened the gates for them. Chenaol killed her in revenge.

She only appears in Trickster's Choice.
