Hereward of Genlith was a Tortallan nobleman in the 3rd century HE.
In 249 HE, he was put in charge of the royal palace in order to keep other powerful people from leaving while the king stayed at the Summer Palace. This was in response to the kidnapping of Prince Gareth, the king's heir.[2]
Hereward does not appear in any of the books, but is mentioned in Mastiff by Sabine of Macayhill.
