Jehane the Warrior was a person famous in Rebakah Cooper's time, although it's not known which deeds she became famous for. The gods meddled with her life and she was burned alive.[1] She doesn't appear in any of the novels as she died way before the Provost's Dog trilogy, but has only been mentioned in passing by Beka in Bloodhound once.
Real life connections[]
Based on her story, name, and profession, it is likely that she is a tribute to Joan of Arc, or Jeanne d'Arc, a Frenchwoman who fought in the latter half of the Hundred Years War.
