Junai Dodeka was Ulasim Dodeka's raka daughter and Ochobu's granddaughter. She was assigned as guard to Aly while the Balitangs were staying at Tanair during their exile in the summer of 462 HE. She was a good fighter. She didn't follow Aly's "orders" when she tried to make Junai do something, but always did what her father or grandmother told her. Compared to Ulasim's relationship with his mother Junai had a better relationship to her grandmother. When a mage was searched for Tanair Junai even talked to her grandmother and tried to convince her to work for and with luarin to protect their hope for a half-raka Queen. The following spring Junai accompanied the Balitangs to Rajmuat and became one of Aly's spy pack. She died during the attack on the royal palace that year.

Junai appeared both in Trickster's Choice and in Trickster's Queen at the end of which she dies.
