Kemit doen Polumri (pronounced KEHM-it DOE-ehn pohl-OOM-ree) is a Chammuran nobleman and lawkeeper (called mutabir in Chammuri). In 1039 KF he investigates Lady Zenadia doa Attaneh and the alleged murders that happen within her walls, especially those of his spies. Because of this, he has the house watched, and questions Briar Moss about his involvement with the lady. He tells Briar that he desires that the green-mage's young student, Evvy, be placed with Lady Zenadia so that she can spy on the woman. This suggestion is met with a flat no from Briar.

The mutabir is shown as progressive when it comes to women in the workforce, as he has a female scribe, and employs Pahan Turaba Guardsall as his truthsayer. This observation relaxes Briar to some extent.

He only appears in Street Magic.
