Mangle was a horse in the royal palace. Stefan Groomsman brought him to the stables of the Queen's Riders to be used to pull the wagon with their provisions when they rode to summer camp at Pirate's Swoop in 449 HE. The next year Mangle accompanied Veralidaine Sarrasri and Numair Salmalín as their packhorse when they visited Dunlath. Mangle also defies his name, being a very placid horse.

He appeared both in Wild Magic and Wolf-Speaker.
