Nurhar Dihanur (pronounced NUHR-hahr DEE-hah-noor) was the husband of Alzena Dihanur and a member of House Dihanur by birth. The Dihanur family was a merchant family that held rivalry with the Rokat family, another merchant clan that held a monopoly on myrrh in several countries. The Dihanur family is based mostly in Janaal and Bihan.
In 1039 KF, Nurhar and his wife were sent to kill members of the Rokat family as a response to grave insult and the murder of Palaq Dihanur, the family's patriarch. With the help of a young unmage, they managed to kill several members of the Rokat family in different countries before moving to Summersea in Emelan to kill the Rokats based there. They killed all members of the family without regard or quarter to age or gender, and slaughtered several children and wives just in case the latter were pregnant. It was immensely difficult to catch them because of their use of the unmage, but they were eventually stopped and killed by Sandrilene fa Toren and Pasco Acalon, using magic that blended unmagic, thread magic, and dance magic in once skillfully made trap.
He only appears in Magic Steps and dies at the end of the novel. He was one of the main perpetrators in the Serial murders in Summersea.
