Ozorne Muhassin Tasikhe (pronounced oh-ZOHRN moo-HAHS-sihn tah-SEEK-hay^[1]), commonly known as the Emperor Mage, was the Emperor of Carthak from 442-451 HE^[2]. Later he became a Stormwing and died in the final battle of the Immortals War.

He is based on Ozzy Ozborne.^[3]

BiographyEdit

Ozorne was crowned emperor of Carthak in 442 HE. A red star shone on the day of his coronation as emperor—an ill omen^[4]. Upon his transformation into a Stormwing in 451, he was forced to give up his throne. He was succeeded by his nephew, Kaddar Iliniat.

Ozorne was a powerful magic user, though he never achieved the coveted rank of black robe. Ozorne's Gift, as a human, was emerald-colored and he was capable of shape-shifting, invisibility and making a simlacrum. He lost his Gift, but gained powerful Immortal magic after his transformation.

Ozorne and Numair Salmalín were once close friends, but became bitterly estranged, leading to Numair's flight from Carthak under an assumed name. Ozorne was jealous of Numair's superior magic and enraged that Numair escaped his grasp, an act that Ozorne saw as betrayal.

When Numair returned to Carthak in 451 as part of a Tortallan diplomatic mission, Ozorne plotted against him and his student Daine. The emperor nearly succeeded in killing Numair, enslaving Daine, and fomenting war against Tortall. However, the intervention of goddess The Graveyard Hag lead to his downfall. When Ozorne realized he was facing imminent defeat, he used Stormwing feather he'd received from Rikash Moonsword to turn himself into a Stormwing.

A horrified newly-Stormwing Ozorne was informed that he was now subject to Stormwing laws and had lost his human empire. Although the Stormwings vowed to kill him, Ozorne managed to escape into exile and later allied himself with Uusoae, the Queen of Chaos.

During The Immortals War, Ozorne was instrumental in Uusoae's plan to conquer the Divine and Mortal Realms. Thanks in part to the actions of Numair and Daine, the plan was thwarted, and Ozorne was finally killed in the Summer of 452 HE^[2] by Daine.

Personality Edit

Ozorne was widely known for his two-faced personality. He was infamously jealous, possessive, vengeful, and cruel. He had at least two heirs prior to Kaddar killed for being disrespectful.

In some ways Ozorne was very cultured, being well-educated and having a taste for exotic animals. He owned a variety of birds and a menagerie filled with mortal and immortal creatures alike. Although notoriously cruel to humans, he was outlandishly kind toward his animals and especially his birds, which were the jewel of his collection.

Apperance Edit

As a human, Orzone was usually richly clad with dark skin, wearing everything from golden braids to toe rings.

When a Stormwing, he had the same face but sports a Stormwing body.
