Padraig of haMinch (pronounced pahd-RAYG hah-MINCH) was the first Lord Provost after the founding of the Provost's Guard by King Baird III of Tortall. He held this position from 127 HE to 143 HE, being the Lord Provost for sixteen years.
He doesn't appear in any of the novels, nor has he been mentioned by characters. The scarce information known about him comes from the appendix of Terrier and Bloodhound.
A different Padraig haMinch was mentioned by characters in Squire. He was asked to be the training master after Wyldon resigned. According to Wyldon, "He's old blood, conservative, and a Minchi."
