Pohon is a raka village on Lombyn Island of the Copper Isles. It is located very near to Tanair.
The people of Pohon despised the luarin for good reason, but they were generally civil if they had to be, such was the case when members of the Balitang family came to Pohon with Prince Bronau Jimajen. As people of the village were aware of the Kyprish Prophecy and were aware that Saraiyu Balitang was the chosen queen-candidate for the raka conspiracy, they put up with Prince Bronau's hateful words in order to see the young ladies.[1]
Ulasim Dodeka, one of the main servants for the Balitangs, was born and raised in Pohon. This surprised Aly, as she had heard that the people of Pohon hated luarin.[2] His daughter, Junai lived in Pohon before being conscripted as Aly's bodyguard, and his mother Ochobu lived in Pohon before being pushed into being the Balitangs chief mage by Kyprioth the trickster.[3]
