Biography

Page and squire yearsEdit
Roald, the first son of Queen Thayet jian Wilima and King Jonathan of Conté enters training as a page in 450 HE[1]. He is quiet as a page, although friendly. He is a friend of Keladry of Mindelan and Nealan of Queenscove as well as most of their other year mates. When he is made a squire, his knight-master is Lord Imrah of Legann, breaking the tradition that a prince's knight-master should be his father[2]. He was engaged to Princess Chisakami of the Yamani Isles, but that fell through when the princess was killed in an earthquake. Another marriage is arranged for him and Princess Shinkokami and they are later engaged.
KnighthoodEdit
After becoming a knight, Roald is disheartened by not being able to fight in the Scanran War, but just being used for healing. His wedding to Shinkokami is also put off because of the war costs. Thus they marry only after the war ended. He has one daughter by Shinkokami, named Lianokami, after Queen Lianne, Roald's grandmother.
