Rubinyan Jimajen was the luarin husband of Princess Imajane and Bronau Jimajen's older brother. Although he was considered an old friend by Mequen and Winnamine Balitang he later proved to be greedy, cruel, and superior. He saw the raka people as furniture, as did many of the luarin nobles. His attempt to end the raka rebellion failed miserably. He also displayed annoyance when his wife made impulsive political decisions. During the reign of his brother-in-law Dunevon, he and his wife were the heads of the regency council. They were seen as monarchs without the title. When Rubinyan staged an assassination on Dunevon, the crown went directly to him and Imajane. Their cruel reign was short and ended abruptly with the raka attack on the palace. He died at the hands of Ulasim, the raka general, in 463 HE. However, Rubinyan himself managed to stab Ulasim in return.
