Salma Aynnar (pronounced SAHL-muh EYE-nahr) was first of the palace servants in the pages' wing. She has been holding this position since 447 HE. At that time Conal of Mindelan was still training as a knight.[1] Her room was on the same corridor as the pages'. Salma was very sympathetic towards Keladry of Mindelan when she first came to the palace and supplied her with special keys so the boys couldn't break into her room again.

Salma was short and thin, with frizzy brown hair and large, dark eyes. Usually she wore the uniform for female palace servants, a dark skirt and a white blouse. She normally carried a large ring laden with keys at her belt.[2]

One winter, Kel gave her jewelry as a present.

She only appears in First Test and Page.
