Teraud Voskajo (pronounced TAIR-oed voss-KAH-joe) is a Kugiskan iron smith, who is quite famous for his fine work. He is the head of the smith's guild, making him incredibly powerful in Kugisko and all of Namorn.
Work as a smith
Teraud works mainly iron, and became quite good and famed for his pieces. Even without magic, he works iron like a dream, and get make iron look as if it is lace. This ability has earned him his reputation as a fine iron worker, thus his ability to rise to the top, become a guildsman, and even become the head of the guild. He owns several forges in Kugisko.
When Dedicate Frostpine of Winding Circle and his student Daja Kisubo came to stay in Kugisko, Teraud let them use his forges and his materials, in exchange for help on some of his projects. He became good friends with Daja, and it is quite possible that he was good friends with Frostpine even before their visit.
Teraud is described by Daja as the ugliest white man she has ever seen. Standing 6'6" tall, he has large, muscled arms. He has stringy brown hair and his blocky head holds a mashed nose, jutted chin and thin mouth. His dark eyes are deepset under a protruding brow. Despite being south of the Syth for over 30 years, he retains his northern accent.
Personality and traits
Teraud is one of the kindest men whom Daja has ever come across. He is a good listener, and thinks of everyone equally, even those who work for him. Women and men tell him their troubles, and he gives good and careful advice. He also does not treat the people who work for him badly, unlike other wealthy people such as Morrachane Ladradun.
