Tobeis Boon, usually known as Tobe, is the servant and friend of Keladry of Mindelan and possesses wild magic with horses.

BiographyEdit

He was born around 450 HE^[1] and raised by the midwife Eulama in Queensgrace. It is indicated that Tobe is of Scanran origin. After the death of Eulama Tobe became a servant of the innkeeper Alvik, who treated him badly. He was beaten and not even provided with education or proper clothes.

When Keladry of Mindelan arrives at Queensgrace on her way to the Scanran border in 460 HE she discovers Tobe and buys his contract from Alvik. She properly provides for him, making sure his wounds are treated by her friend and healer-mage Nealan of Queenscove, outfitting him properly, feeding him and teaching him the necessary things like reading.

At first he has his doubts about her and everytime she leaves he thinks she has forgot about him or has abandoned him. He goes as far as to think that Kel was on drugs or high on alcohol and that is why she bought him and when she comes to her senses she will abandon him.

By the end of the book, Tobe becomes fiercely loyal to Kel and accompanies Nealan and company when they go after her to help her in her attempt to save her refugees from the Scanrans.

Physical descriptionEdit

Tobe is small for his age and his hair is blond.  He has blue eyes.^[2]
