Treak is one of the children orphaned when the pirates were cleared out of the Battle Islands. He lives with Oswin and is quite difficult. In fact Oswin is the only one who can control Treak. Once he even broke furniture when Oswin was away and Nory had to come and get him.

He only appears in Melting Stones.
