Vani, pressumably from the Acalon or Qais family, is the cousin of Pasco Acalon. He often teases his younger cousin because Pasco likes dancing much more than the Harrier work. On one occasion Pasco dances Vani and two other cousins in the air and can't get them down alone. Thus he has to ask Sandrilene fa Toren for help. After this incident their grandfather had a talk with Vani and the others that they weren't to tease their cousin any longer.

He only appears as a minor character in Magic Steps.
