Yates Noll is the youngest son of Deirdry Noll.^[1] He is the only one of her sons who still lives in Corus^[2] and Mistress Noll makes him help her kidnapping and killing children as the Shadow Snake. He commits suicide in May 11 of 246 HE before he can be arrested^[3].

Yates has quite a impolite personality and has been in prison for brawling and theft^[4]. He only appears in Terrier and dies at the end of the novel.
